Windigo papercraft

As an 80′s child I grew up with the discovery fact files every fortnight getting another slice of history… Which I paid no interest to at all. What I wanted were the paper models boats, planes or even fireworks I didn’t mind. A pair of scissors some glue and a few of my mums clothes pegs were the tools I used to create these whimsical paper fancies.

Now using Sketchup and photoshop I can produce my own papercraft delights like this little chap from Media molecules game Tearaway

3D printed head

Using 123D catch I was able to “scan” a sculpt of a human face to create a digital copy of it. After cleaning the mesh and making it water tight I was then able to print it on my Ultimaker 3D printer.
You can see the 3D scan below.
